2. What information we collect

Where this Privacy Policy refers to "personal data" it is referring to data about you from which you could be identified, such as your name, date of birth, contact details, account identifiers, or device information.

When you use the Platform to register an account, fill in forms, subscribe to services or report a problem, we may collect, store and use certain personal information that you disclose to us.

The information we collect from you may include your IP address, email address, telephone number, feedback, log-in information and information needed to provide wallet, card, support, security and compliance services.

We may also collect information about your device, browser or operating system, time zone, interactions with the Platform, the way you use the Platform, session length, response times and download errors.

We may use technologies such as cookies, mobile identifiers and analytics tools. You can use your device or browser settings to remove or block cookies or disable advertising identifier tracking, though this may affect your use of the Platform.

We may also partner with third parties who collect anonymous usage or statistical data through your use of the Platform, including technical providers, payment providers, analytics providers and advertising networks.

If you want to update information you have previously given to us, contact us at legal@argentwallet.org.

3. How and why we use/share your information

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we use it where you have asked or consented, where we need it to perform a contract with you, where it is necessary for our legitimate interests, or where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.

You may receive marketing messages from us if you have consented or if you have provided feedback and have not opted out, where our legal basis allows it. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

Depending on how and why you provide personal data, we may share it with members of our group, business partners, suppliers, subcontractors, analytics providers and other selected third parties who help us operate and improve the Platform.

We may disclose personal information if we sell or buy a business or assets, if Argent or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, or where we are under a duty to disclose information to comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, protect rights and property, prevent fraud or reduce credit risk.

Our service providers provide administrative, statistical, support, payment, compliance and technical services. We only provide service providers with the minimum amount of personal data they need and require them to protect it and use it only for the agreed purpose.

Examples of service providers may include cloud hosting, analytics, email, customer support, messaging, monitoring, fraud prevention, payment, fiat-to-crypto and app analytics providers.

Your app store provider, device provider and mobile network operator may also collect personal information about your use of the Platform. These third parties act as separate controllers and process data under their own privacy policies.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. Third-party websites are outside our control and are not covered by this Privacy Policy. Please check their policies before submitting personal data to them.

4. How long we keep your information

We hold your personal information only for as long as required to provide products and services you have requested, including for legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements.

We may retain personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation relating to our relationship with you.

In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your data. In other circumstances we may anonymise personal data for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use that information indefinitely without further notice to you.

5. Security

Argent takes the protection of your information seriously. We use appropriate physical, electronic and managerial security measures to help prevent personal data from being accidentally lost, used, accessed, altered or disclosed in an unauthorised way.

Where we have given you a password or credential that enables access to parts of the Platform, you are responsible for keeping it confidential. Please do not share passwords, recovery information or private credentials with anyone.

We limit access to personal data to employees, agents, contractors and third parties who have a business need to know. They process personal data only on our instructions and are subject to confidentiality obligations.

We have procedures to deal with suspected personal data breaches and will notify you and any applicable regulator where legally required.

6. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers may be based outside the United Kingdom and European Economic Area. These providers may help us fulfil requests, process payments, provide technical services or provide support services.

Where we transfer data outside the UK and/or EEA, we seek to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place so that personal data is held securely and your rights are upheld.

Transfers may be made to countries recognised as providing adequate protection, or using standard contractual clauses, UK international data transfer clauses, or other appropriate cross-border transfer solutions.

If you would like more information about the mechanism via which your personal data is transferred, contact legal@argentwallet.org.

7. Your Rights

As a data subject, you may have rights in relation to your personal data, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent and rights relating to automated decision-making and profiling.

You may request access to personal data we hold about you. This enables you to receive a copy of data we hold about you so you can check that it is correct and that we are processing it lawfully.

You may ask us to correct personal data that you believe is incorrect or inaccurate. You may also ask us to erase personal data we control where you do not believe we need to retain it.

Please note that it may not always be possible to erase all personal data. There may be legal requirements, legitimate interests, blockchain records or technical limitations that prevent deletion of certain data.

You may ask us to stop or restrict processing where applicable, object to processing based on legitimate interests, ask us to stop sending communications, or withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

When you write to us to exercise your rights, we may ask you to prove your identity. It helps us process your request if you clearly state which right you wish to exercise and why.

8. Contact Details
