Crypto wallet FAQ and support

Clear answers about wallet access, recovery, security, verification, balances, and supported account actions.

Delete an account without leaving assets behind

Reviewed 21 July 2026

Account deletion is available from the app settings. Treat it as a final step, not as a troubleshooting shortcut.

First move any remaining assets and check for an unfinished card, deposit, or identity-verification process. Deleting the account does not automatically cancel separate applications handled by a partner.

When you are ready, open Settings, choose Account & Security, then select Delete my account and review the confirmation screen carefully.

Understand Bitcoin yield before using it

Reviewed 21 July 2026

Yield is not a built-in property of bitcoin. It comes from a protocol or strategy and introduces additional risks.

Where supported, the app may show options involving tokenised bitcoin such as wBTC or LBTC, staking, or collateralised borrowing. Before proceeding, check the network, provider, smart-contract risk, lock-up terms, liquidation conditions, and current return shown in the product.

Who handles billing details during a crypto purchase?

Reviewed 21 July 2026

Card or bank details entered during a fiat purchase are handled by the payment provider shown in that purchase flow, not in the wallet interface itself.

Look for the provider name on your receipt or confirmation email. Requests to correct or remove billing information need to be sent to that provider under its privacy process.

Argent support can help you identify the route you used, but should never ask for a full card number, online-banking password, private key, or recovery credential.

Recognise legitimate security emails and text messages

Reviewed 21 July 2026

Email and text alerts can be triggered by account verification, recovery, or other security-sensitive activity.

If an alert matches an action you started, follow only the instructions shown in the official app or on the verified domain. If you did not start the action, do not open links; contact support from this website instead.

Keep the email address and phone number attached to recovery up to date. No legitimate support agent will ask you to disclose a private key or recovery secret.

What happens to the old phone after wallet recovery?

Reviewed 21 July 2026

Wallet access is not designed to remain active on two phones after recovery. Completing recovery moves control to the replacement device and disables the previous installation.

This reduces the risk created by a lost phone. If you still have both devices, confirm that recovery is necessary before starting it.

Send a useful product suggestion

Reviewed 21 July 2026

A useful feature request explains the problem before proposing the button. Tell us what you were trying to do, where the flow became difficult, and what outcome you expected.

Do not include wallet secrets, identity documents, or full payment details. Send the description to support@argentwallet.org.

Fix an expired or invalid verification link

Reviewed 21 July 2026

Use only the newest verification message: older links can stop working as soon as another message is issued, and active links expire quickly.

Open the link on the device where you started the request. If it has expired, return to the app and restart that specific action instead of repeatedly opening the old email.

If the newest link still fails, note the time, device, and error message and send those details to support@argentwallet.org.

Find a verification email that has not arrived

Reviewed 21 July 2026

Wait a few minutes, then search every mailbox folder for the product name and check that the address entered in the app has no typing error.

Request one new email and use that message only. Repeated requests can leave several expired links in the inbox and make it easy to open the wrong one.

If nothing arrives, contact support@argentwallet.org from the address connected to the account and include the approximate request time.

Check a balance that looks out of date

Reviewed 21 July 2026

A delayed balance can be a display or indexing issue even when the blockchain record is correct. Start by comparing the public wallet address with a reputable explorer for the relevant network.

Confirm that you are viewing the correct account and network. Then open Settings > App settings > Refresh data and keep the app active long enough to resynchronise.

Do not reinstall the app or begin recovery merely to refresh a balance. Those actions do not change blockchain data and can create avoidable access risk.

If the explorer and app still disagree, contact support@argentwallet.org with the public address, network, app version, and a description of the mismatch. Never send a private key.

Can an account move between Argent products?

Reviewed 21 July 2026

Accounts from different Argent products may use different key and recovery models, so an account cannot be assumed to be portable between them.

Do not export or paste sensitive key material into a tool that claims to convert the account. Use only migration or connection options explicitly presented in an official product and documented by support.
